Personal
Margaret R. Steele moved to the Vineyard with her family in the late
40's, was schooled and married on the mainland, but returned to purchase
a home in the 60's. She has four children and four grandchildren scattered
across the country and in
Switzerland
. Margaret is
a longtime sailor and spends the summer season aboard the trawler
Illusion moored off the Edgartown Lighthouse, and holds a 50 ton Coast
Guard license. The rest of the year, home is just a block from the
harbor in Edgartown village and a short walk to
Lighthouse
Beach
and Sheriff’s Meadow Preserve.
Seeing her company through over a quarter of a century of subtle changes
in how business is done on Martha's Vineyard, Margaret is exhilarated
to be able to offer 21st century technology to customers and clients
to better serve them. She is determined to keep her company in the
forefront of Vineyard real estate while enjoying the timeless art
of communication and discovering new friends and neighbors as Harborside
Realty enters its fifth decade of business on this small Island off
Cape Cod
